soul hello and welcome to another episode of Bytes of light so today we want to talk to you about a kind of a new Direction it's kind of the same direction but it's also kind of a new Direction maybe it's just a more precise direction that we're kind of going in with the with our company with ourselves we've been kind of building to this for a while not me personally not really knowing where it was going to go just knowing that when the time was right we would know I would and recently it became blatantly obvious that the time for for action and all of the things that I've kind of been working towards and learning and the things that we talk about on these previous episodes have all kind of been coming to a head because as many of you know I'm also a firefighter and as a captain in the fire service it's become so obvious that the mental health situation on the front lines fire service the police the military our emergency rooms like any any people that are dealing with other people's traumas and and situations the Mental Health crisis is Alive and Well in that area too and it's it's different than the Mental Health crisis on in general this is is far more treatable we're we're suffering on mass for a choice we've made to help others and there's a way to prevent it and I believe we have the tools to help people with that so for me this is kind of a a a culmination of all these things that we've been doing and I've been learning but the awareness around oh this is where this attention is going to get focused as a recent drop in for me and that's not necessarily your experience so you can share your experience and then we'll get into more of what the nuts and bolts of so where we're at is everything's kind of come to this point and we'll get to the nuts and bolts of what that point is but your experience of getting to this Clarity we'll call it this Clarity of of direction right so in 2015 I was at a retreat and chose to stay in Sedona and booked a hotel at close to the Bell Vortex as I could and sent some intent to really ask the universe like why am I even here you know when when we do this when we do this journey of Awakening and ask for support and ask for teachings and ask show me the next step you get it and sometimes you don't know how long it's going to take or if it is even yours like there's this thing you play with so yeah we're looking at 10 years and the the message was bring medicine to the front line and through all you know through my social media if you go back in this was my mission learn integrate find your medicine and bring it to the front line and so 2020 comes around and several trips I've been to the pyramids and have done this this toltec work and this guy shows up and I'm just enjoying my lunch by myself and he sat down we had a conversation and rudely interrupted rudely interrupted my processing out toltec where people are getting to know each other and I'm like I haven't met that gal I'll go introduce myself and I'm like you're interrupting me and I literally had that thought process so I literally put my fat pen down and I'm like and I when I looked up and looked into his eyes I was like yeah you can sit down that's fine by the eyes saved by the eyes and so in learning to get get to know each other you know doing the you know conversation had the conversation well that conversation turned into 6 hours and there was this awareness for me not him because he didn't know what my Visions had been what my you know what my process had been to actually get there and that I was an apprentice of the Ruiz's at that time he didn't know any of that and so when he opened his mouth and said that he was as a fire captain well I nearly fell off my chair because you can imagine I've been working on this story-line for how long and then boom shakalaka go to the pyramids and this connection happens and so fast forward we are learning to get to know each other just like you would do in a normal relationship and then I'm waiting when when's the next piece when's the next piece okay well it's not here yet okay well let's write a book so we wrote a book and wrote in several books I think we have four between the two of us we did in one year so that racehorse was strong we were we were learning our medicine and merging our medicine because that was the other piece how does this fit just because he's a fire captain doesn't mean that this is a part very easily could be but I was waiting and waiting and and just waiting to see how it was going to drop in and then you attended if few funeral and one of his buddies retired from the Air Force so there was a couple of within a couple weeks it was just like boom boom boom boom boom yeah and and it's been building right it's not new obviously right the people have been struggling with how to process significant traumas for a long time but until people are ready to hear it you can yell till you're blue in the face and it's not going to get anything done so what shifted was a number of events have become have been like popping up into my world and it's not just that they're popping up into my world I'm listening to the conversations around these events by the guys at work and it's gotten to that point where I I can feel the energy is ready for them that they're they're tired of it they're finally tired of watching people suffer and silently and even unbeknownst to most of them having that fear lingering in the back of their mind that they might be next they might be the one that succumbs to the pressure next and what really pushed it over the edge was in in my particular Department there was a guy with 25 plus years on the department super solid guy everybody's like this guy's tough as Nails nothing gets to this guy and the next thing we know he's asking for help because he's not doing well and that challenged everyone's agreements so now if it can happen to this guy who's safe from it and the answer is nobody right the answer is obviously nobody but you don't get into police and fire and military if you don't have a little bit of a Superman complex to begin with right you don't run into burning buildings and run at bullets and do these things that are mortally dangerous if you don't already come with a little bit of a Superman complex you may think that we do this because we're so aware or so brave or so whatever but the reality is most of us just don't think about the consequence like they literally teach you to act without thinking when you go through boot camp in the military and that's essentially what we we come with a natural level of that for the fire and the police is you don't think about the fact that you could die it's like Days of Thunder for those of you who are of my generation which we'll just say is genetics young he talks about the race car drivers you can't think about your crash the second you think about crashing you're done you're done get out race Racing's over so that's there's a bit of that in the fire service and the police that when you start fearing death every time you go to work you need to get out or figure out how to process it all differently and let go of that fear so that's where we're going that's you know the story that that has been building for for Angel and for me I you know I can look back now and and see how all the things I've been doing the little bit this business practice and this mental health learning and and this course and that practice and it's all been building to give me the tools to be able to share with my brothers and sisters in the fire service my experience and my vulnerability because that's where my true bravery is and if I can model that for them and then give them some tools to go within and start changing their relationship with life and their relationship with the job and their relationship with fear then there's a way to do these jobs as long as you want to and get out and live a happy retirement but even the people who feel like they get out unscathed they generally die within I don't remember the exact number but it's fairly early with like 10 to 15 years that's like the average there's outliers whatever but it's just not okay we're literally giving giving our lives whether we die in the line of duty or not because we're taking all of this dense heavy energy that we haven't learned how to let go and we carry it at work we pass it on to our kids we pass it we we it's it gets on everybody around us because we haven't learned how to process it and let it go and and there are some of us maybe I fall in this category maybe I don't maybe I'm just gotten better processing there are some of us that just naturally innately things don't stick to and that's awesome right that's true of those of you listening um you may or may not have this innate ability to just let things not stick to you but I guarantee you you know people who don't if it's not you you know somebody who doesn't have that ability so we walk through life like why am I so mad why am I so frustrated why am I so tired well you're carrying around a bunch of [ __ ] that may not belong to you and maybe it's yours maybe it is this like not you're like but my life seems good it might be [ __ ] from your past it could be ancestral stuff it could be other people's stuff it could be just like I said for the front lines it's not our stuff necessarily although that adds to it often it's the stuff we see because of the choice we've made as a career so I didn't get in an accident I didn't almost die but I had to help that person who did so I have to see it and I'm in that environment and that forces this this uncomfortable mirror that many of us don't want to look into which is death so when we see those things and we start creating stories around it it shapes the way we perceive it and it shapes the way we store it or and or let it go so that's what's become so clear recently is that it is time to share the medicine that we've both been creating through our own experiences of life and our own Persistence of stepping into our and through our own fears because you can't teach somebody how to do something when it comes to this stuff that you can't do yourself you know that the old adage if you can't do coach doesn't apply here I can't show I have to show you all the telling in the world that doesn't have a lot of value on a on a deep level like it works up here right somebody just has the knowledge like I can share all these things and you'll be like oh yeah that makes sense yeah that makes sense but if I show up in embodying it I bring the energy and that speaks to your energy body so when you step when you're dealing with soul work and energy work you can't go any further than you've gone yourself you can say words but if I try to take you into a situation that I've never been through I don't truly know how to navigate it and it can get out of hand real quick as some of us sitting here right before you have experienced firsthand from teachers who tried to take them further than they were capable of going so if you are working with teachers it's just a cautionary statement and you won't really know necessarily but chances are part of you will sense it so that's kind of a side note but yeah it's exciting it's exciting to have this Clarity drop in and have that take shape because what I have been working on for a longer period of time I mean I it's been seven years for me now that I've been working on creating a business because I felt like there's something more for me than just being a firefighter and I and I kept going down a road on an episode with my daughter that you've probably already heard and if you haven't go back and listen to it it's her second one not her first one we're talking about pivoting and and changing your direction to find the one that suits you best and I had the opportunity to do that a lot over the last seven years because I started a business with this idea in mind going this way and then it was like well it just doesn't feel quite right so but you know what what I am passionate about maybe it's this and that didn't quite work and I did that three or four times before I finally said all right I need to I need to take a break I take a breather and that's actually right when I met you that's right and it's funny it comes up again when we stop trying to do so much and we just breathe and get quiet and allow that inner voice in in religion they like to call it the still Small Voice or the the Holy Spirit or whatever there's so many different words for it but it's the whispering of truth in your ear that we all have access to but it's not loud it's not loud unless you're doing something really really harmful if it's loud be afraid because you got some lessons coming so if you want to avoid those listen to The Whisper list but to listen to The Whisper you have to get still and humans aren't good at getting still because of all the programming that we've been taught yeah stay busy stay fried stay empty stay exhausted because then you're easy to control if you're full of power and you're full of life and you're following your intuition can't control those people absolutely so yeah it's It's A New Path I mean it's not even really A New Path it's a more refined path refined is a great word you know because it's the same direction that we've been going we want to help Humanity we want to be in service with love you know I mean that being said if you have questions that that pop up starting to question you know that that is that is one things that humans are allowed to do and don't take advantage of more often is question question what you're doing is this part of my life serving me is this human serving me is this job serving me how can I best serve this body that I am in and create the life that I want without stress without trauma without the anxiety how do we rid those things and live a peaceful life because we do deserve that and contrary to popular belief that's what you're here to experience yeah you're also here to learn the things that get you there right you're also here to experience the challenges before you to achieve that but that's the that's the goal the goal is to truly live life and life's amazing and it's wondrous and it's joyful and it's loving and we have to get through the fears and the limiting beliefs that are keeping us from that but it absolutely can be regardless of your career path and your past and your perceived future it can be that joyous and wondrous thing you just have to be open to it quit trying to tell life what to how to give you stuff and start asking how do I serve my even my own highest good how do I serve me best because most of us aren't even doing that we're not even being of good loving service to ourselves much less have the capacity to do it for others because we weren't taught that right you know especially as Gen X like I I don't even know where to start with that but there there are there are you know us feral children at that the ages that we're at we we do need to learn how to re-parent ourselves we do need to learn how to challenge some of those ingrained agreements that have been placed on us by our F the the past generations and we're holding generational trauma the new the the the younger kids that are coming you know that that are eventually going to be running our planet we have an opportunity right now to deprogram some of those programs that are not serving humans yeah you know what's that going to look like and and that's a lot of the driver behind getting into the front lines Why Now's the Time that's also a divide I'm seeing is the younger Generations the old Generations they were built to rub some dirt on it and keep going right they just it was a different energy that they came with and the younger Generations are I don't know if they're more sensitive or more open or what it is they need the tools to make it through the things that used to be you know and it frustrates these older Generations like well in my day we just blah blah blah and it's like well it's not your day anymore and these kids should be honored and and and praised for the fact that they are more open they are feeling their feelings the reason the older Generations could rub some dirt on and move on is because they had crazy abilities to stuff [ __ ] down and hold it there they were disconnected from their intuition yeah and that doesn't serve us no it served then because in a survival world you have to do what it takes and I can remember Seth coming home from work one day and saying that one of the old guys some where was said you know gone are the days that we can shame these guys into doing what we want them to do and I was Lord I was like that's still happening and why is that okay right and the younger Generations they're not putting up with that [ __ ] anymore you know so we are seeing the tide turning and it's finally here where we can step in and say hey we actually have some medicine that can help this situation yeah yeah and it's it's exciting for me it's exciting for me because I can see the world where people are wrapping their mind around these things and putting the practices to work for them to let go of all the garbage and man if we can have success on the front lines then if it's possible for them it's possible for everybody so yeah why not go right after the most challenging group of people right out of the gate that seems like it makes sense well Seth and I always have this conversation around you know because I I believe and and it could be because of the people that I've had in my life previous and meeting Seth I believe a lot of Front-line workers are awake already and there is this innate want and need to be in service and you know we have this conversation all the time that you know some of them go in for this reason some of them go in for this reason but I believe that that there is a piece that is wanting to be in service and wanting to heal or save people and so he says it that way but I say I want to go there because these people already want to be in service and they want to help Humanity heal so it's going to be very interesting to see the data we collect as we move forward on this experiment m and to see who's actually brave enough to show up and play with us and I'm going to call it out because this is not easy work and it requires being brave in a different way because I believe firefighters are extremely brave for what they have to do but are they brave enough to show their feelings are they brave enough to be vulnerable and to come and actually share and talk about this that's what I want to see that's what bravery means to me yeah and the Paradox of the the past Generations you know oh get up be tough don't cry blah blah blah it's like suck it up right that's not being tough that's being scared that's being scared of the emotion and it's also bullying the other people that you're saying it to yeah well even if you just because you've adopted those agreements you're bullying yourself right suck it up you can't cry like men don't cry like well that's silly yeah maybe you don't always feel inclined to cry but if you do feel feeling the emotion is far more like I don't know that very many people are like oh I love feeling sadness and grief right like which isn't the only reason to cry sometimes you cry because of Joy it's just this overflow of emotion and the tears come out right it's the pop off valve I like to say when the tank pressure gets too high it just leaks out nobody wants to necessarily feel the the like the shadow side of that but if we don't feel it it just it's more of that heavy energy that gets stuck in us and it causes pain and physical discomfort and leads to a faster degradation of our body it is literally a release you know like the steam goes off on the teapots like that is a release and I believe the tear ducts are that it is a way to keep the soul basket our physical body regulated and how does our bodies regulate they regulate with sweat they regulate with tears like there's these ways that our bodies there there our main functions and by by allowing that not to happen you're disrespecting yourself and emotionally depending on what's making you cry it could actually drop down into your your younger years and now you're disrespecting minimizing and abandoning your inner child and this is where trauma happens and it all comes from that Old terrible programming of don't you dare cry yeah so there's a lot to there's a lot to unravel right and and and we are because of my experience in it we're gonna we're going after some of the the more unravel people on the planet you know it's it unravel I love that twist twisted eating the most unraveling yeah and it's and it's it's emotional regulation and it's learning how to allow your emotions to flow without having that bung up because no one likes to be bunged up like really poop joke did you just say bung [Laughter] up and you know I worked with kids for most of my adult life in high performance gymnastics trampoline specifically and you know when you take kids and you ask them to flip upside down and do all these very high Advanced skills you know that was part of my medicine was being able to hold that space and assuring the children that they were not going to die in what I was asking them to do and I'm telling you every time they got scared they came off the trampoline in tears and we had to work through okay this is how you process the energy this is how we're going to run the adrenaline use it as energy like there are ways for for us to process that kind of fear when you take somebody to death or they think they're going to die and instead of allowing it to percolate into PTSD there are ways to transfer it through your body so that it doesn't get stuck and it kind of comes back to what Seth said at the beginning of this podcast we don't want it to stick on you so how do you become slick you know how do you how do you just let it flow through without it getting stuck somewhere well you need tools for that like poop through a goose back to the poop CHS well and this is yeah my my dad laid down his motorbike on on on a road and he said that that that Lin on the middle of the road was slick as duck [ __ ] you know and down that bike went but you know with tools you recover from those spaces you know and having 30 years at a world class level there are tools that I can bring from the gym forward and with the medicine that we're merging together we're building programs and we're building spaces where people can have us come and teach these tools that can help heal or even catch PTSD before it moves through somebody's body and that's important for the front line yeah we keep our front line workers healthy and our whole ecosystem is going to flow smoother and there's a big difference between not having emotion around something and being disconnected from your emotions right right if you're one of those people that says oh I don't I never cry or you know I just don't I just don't get mad or I just whatever it's like unless you've done a lot of work around your anger and you've done a lot of work around your fear and your sadness to where you have a different relationship with those emotions then you're disconnecting yeah disassociate refusing yeah you're disassociating from those feelings so I mean if you feel like you're one of those people like well I just don't have those emotions like stop and ask yourself well have I done a lot of work have I done a lot of work to change my relationship with those emotions and if the answer is no to that question then chances are you're stuffing you're disassociating and you're stuffing it down and there's only so much room for the things you're stuffing down and when it's when the container's full it overflows and that's when we see people at their wits end that's when we see people contemplating suicide that's when we see people turning to substance abuse yeah if you're distracting yourself with with anything then you know there's something that needs to be looked at and we know it's scary God knows we've we've we we've been doing this work for a long time but showing up for yourself there is freedom on the other side of that and the stigma of asking for help is weakness has to stop it's it's literally ruining humans bravest thing you can do is show your weak underbelly that the euphemism euphemism for the that vulnerability right and it comes from animals when an animal is wants to show that it's not being aggressive it turns over and it shows its belly that's the most exposed part of it unprotected and dangerous when you can be brave enough to show that by saying I I need help face the fear and then you can move through it and on the other side of fear is freedom because once you lay that freedom down you can then Learn to Fly and that's what you're meant to do we're meant to fly in this life experience extraordinary things but we can't do it toting around a bag of rocks or a belly full of poop well and and those rocks most of them aren't yours yeah a lot of them and I think this is where a lot of a lot of humans get stuck is that they're like oh I'm so sad I'm so this I'm so that I'm so down my energy is so low well whose rocks are you carrying you know is there a codependent piece where that you're carrying somebody else rocks for them when you're not supposed to be so like there's all these avenues for you to explore to find your joy but you first have to find out what is not your joy and so when you lay your life out on a piece of paper and say this is where I'm at for some people it's kind of jarring when you actually write your life out and exactly where you're at in that moment and if you don't like it the it it's so exciting that you get to change that you have the power to change that if you're in a space of oh my life is terrible well exciting you just bound out that you believe that your life is terrible great there's your starting point where do we want to go from there what is your next step to finding happiness and one step at a time one step at a time following those Cosmic breadcrumbs once you make the decision to shift you will be amazed at what drops into your lap when you let go and just allow show me the next step I allow myself to receive if you're not allowing yourself to receive you're cut off from the universe you're cut off so the first step I believe is okay show me what's out there I don't have to act but at least show me because if you don't know you don't know right yeah lots of analogies right it is that one step at a time Rome wasn't built in the day how to eat an elephant one bite at a time right like this don't don't be the guy on the on the weight loss commercial I don't remember what the commercial is for the guy shows up at the gym gets on the scale gets off runs around the gym one time gets back on the scale it's like I'm leaving that's it's not how it works yeah right I mean sometimes you'll have big leaps big aha's and take big steps there's also remember there's there's not really a destination it's just about how do you want how much do you want to enjoy your time here right we don't have a Finish Line where you're like oh I got to this point and I'm never need to do anything ever again but the more you're willing to do and the more you're willing to commit to your joy and your freedom the more you can enjoy your time and experience in this life and then when you take that joy and that light to work because you got into this job for a reason whatever heart space that was you are there when you show up on the front line with light and you're full and you have all this love to share you know you know that you're healing at a higher level when you're full you know that it just is it was the same thing as coaching if I showed up full my kids did excellent but when you show up with lower energy it's a ma practice right you affect your surrounding by how you show up it makes you a better parent it makes you a better friend it makes you a better lover and it makes you better at work your whole life shifts when you learn to fill yourself up and hold that energy to hold that love to hold that light and that's what we want to bring to the front line yeah yeah that's that's the little that's the little secret is that the same thing that's going to help people on the front line deal with their job process their job is also going to help them process life because we've watched the shifts at your station yeah yeah I've already run this experiment on a small scale and now I'm ready to run it on a big scale right and we we've witnessed the transformation of the people that he's with on on on a daily basis when you're at work yeah so big stuff exciting stuff we wanted to share that with you we're gonna be talking more about this more about this right we want to share this medicine with everybody so we're going to be talking more about how you move through your traumas how you show up for Life how you shift your mindset to not allow life to take you out all the time and we do have some courses that are
